DIVISION I Floral Design

Floral design is an artistic expression of beauty, harmony and distinction while following the principles and elements of design. See how the exhibitors interpret each class title and conform to the class parameters, and marvel at how they visualize balance, contrast, dominance, proportion, scale and rhythm!

Class 1.

A Tale of Two Greens

In this class, the exhibitors were challenged to create a floral design interpreting “A Tale of Two Greens”. While they could use a container of their choice, the final exhibit could be no more than 36” high by 48” wide .

Class 3. Green Flash

What would you think of if you had to design flowers in a “Green Flash”? In this class, exhibitors used their creative imagination and skills to create a design that was no taller than 36” high. The design had to be staged on a black base.

Class 2.

Tavern on the Green

Known as a table setting class, this class is often a favorite. Exhibitors had to interpret a “Tavern on the Green” and stage their floral creation on a 30” round by 29” high table draped in a floor-length cloth.

Class 4. Playscapes on the Green

The bar gets raised for these fearless floral designers in this challenge class. Each exhibitor is sent seven identical components. In the final designs, the components had to be visible but could be altered in any manner the exhibitors chose.

There is a lot more to see!
